Wednesday, July 07, 2010 7:42 PM

Last night was one of those meetings that you were glad you were at. It started with another fine meal from our resident chef. It was one of my favorite, breakfast for supper.

Then we had the chance to see PGM J.E. Moseley present a 50 year apron to one our brothers. PGM J.E. is also a Past Master of our Lodge and a recipient of a 60 year apron. This is the fourth 50 year apron that was presented this year.

We had 8 brothers stand their proficiency on various degrees. This clears the way for us to confer the FellowCraft at the next meeting (July 20th). We will have practice for this on July 13th starting at 6pm.

In the business part we discussed going to the Rock Quarry next month and the new bylaw changes were read for the first time. Notices should be mailed out soon.

Brethren,

Our last meeting was held on April 6th.  Our Worshipful Master Tom Holt opened the lodge in an excellent manner at 7:30pm.  Present was one visiting Brother and 7 Past Masters.

The Chaplin, Randy Warr, gave a report on sickness and distress worthy brethren and their families. They are Bill Gardner’s Mother and Sister, Bonnie Gardner’s Mother, PGM F. Ray Jackson, and DGM Palmer Mills, David McIntyre’s wife Didi Please remember these brethren, their families and our Troops when upon your bended knees.

Under work and lectures.

The signs marking our project of adopting a mile of Highway 19 near the Lodge are being made and installed by GDOT.

Br. David McIntyre stood his examination on the Masters Degree. Br. Paul Brown conducted it. It was done in an excellent manner.

A report was giving concerning the CHIP project. The May fling project will be two days and we will be need at least 25 workers.

March 30th was our first Family Night this year. The Lodge furnished the main course and the members brought their favorite side dish. A good time was had by all that attended.

WM Tom Holt presented a Baby Spoon with a Masonic symbol to Br. Lamar Bunn in honor of their newly adopted Girl. Also as a side note WM told the lodge of Br. Lamar Bunn and his wife are expecting a new child to be born this Fall. Congrats to the both of them.

On another note the WM invited PM Richard Harrison to the east and WB Harrison presented on loan to the lodge a set of working tools which came from King Solomon Quarry.

Under work and lectures Br Paul Carter gave a talk on a book he had been reading and was VERY informative.

If you haven't been to Lodge meeting in a while please try to attend. Many things are happening. At our next meeting we will be conferring the EA degree on two candidates.

Please try to attend; the meal is great and the fellowship even better. Check out the following dates below.

The lodge was closed in due form with peace and harmony prevailing
